progress

THE PLAYROOM IS COMING ALONG SWIMMINGLY. i was going to say something like, we are making great progress, but the truth of the matter is, Ben is making great progress with a little help from two eager girls. (okay. i am helping some, too, but not as enthusiastically).

he's been working on it everyday; scraping and sanding walls, patching, priming and painting. last night he finished peeling up the last of the impressively unattractive vinyl floor tiles (not pictured) in the front entryway. he has spent every night this week scraping the sticky residue from under those tiles (i helped some, out of sheer guilt and pity) and it looks as if the floor might be ready for paint this week. 

pretty darn excited for what we've got planned. stay tuned.
